Kristian Albert Thomsen, August 3, 2007

August 22, 1982- September 4, 2007

We and the brewery have suffered an irreplaceable loss when our son and only child, Kristian, died on September 4, 2007 from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident. He was 25 years old. Kristian was studying Computer Science at Århus University, but was still actively engaged in activities with the brewery. He was an excellent brewer, with an innate sense and understanding of the brewing process. He was also responsible for the design of a lot of our graphic material. His talents and interests were very diverse - food and beer, of course, but also music, math and natural sciences were some of his more pronounced interests. Kristian was a familiar face in the Wintercoat stand at beer festivals and exhibitions, dispensing his infectious smile along with beer and advice. He was a much-loved man at the Cockney Pub in Århus, first as a bartender, later as a customer as well as stand-in help when the need arose. He possessed an unusually strong joie de vivre, made friends readily, and valued his friendships and his family highly. His friends remember him especially for his loyalty and kindness. Our lives and the brewery will never be the same without him.

We thank our, family, friends and customers for kind thoughts, prayers, and understanding in our time of grief.
